| Cycle Design originated in 1969 as a way for owner Doug Mulligan to support his dirt bike racing habit. He would sell and service dirtbikes during the week and then race on Sundays. The original dealership was located in a dirt-floored former fruit stand in Putney, Vermont.
In the early seventies, Doug relocated the business to Phillipston, Massachusetts. By 1973, Cycle Design had it's first Japanese franchise, Suzuki. A Kawasaki franchise was added in 1984, Yamaha in 1991 and Honda in 1992.
In celebration of our 40th year, we are asking everyone to send us your remembrances we'll put them all together in a little book. Anyone who contributes will get a copy. The dealership has developed significantly from it's humble beginings. Today we sell ATV's, street and dirt motorcycles, scooters and snowmobiles. We also have one of the most comprehensive selections of parts and accessories and our Service Department provides top notch service by OEM trained and certified technicians.
Not one to sit back, Cycle Design has opened a sister store in Keene, NH, AMERICAN TRIKES & MOTORSPORTS. Dedictated to Trikes, Trike Conversions, and Used Bikes. Visit us at either store, we promise we'll take great care of you and your vehicle.

Watashi is still in training but we have high hopes and someday he'll be greeting our customers at the door!

 In Memory of Kaze!
Thank you to all who have stopped by, called, and emailed since we lost Kaze. He was one of a kind and will always be in our hearts.
On a happier note, little Watashi No Kokoro will be joining the dealership staff in the next week or so. He certainly has big paws to step into! We hope you will all be able to stop in and greet our new “guard dog/official greeter” and help make him feel welcome in his new home. Watashi was born on July 9, 2010 and comes from Kaze’s breeder Gold Ring Aussies
